Here are some of the Eden Healthfoods team at the 2013 filex. A huge success, we were keep very busy with about 10,000 people on each day.
The first of these three photos was taken by a friend on a iphone (sorry about the quality) on Sunday just as the expo was finishing about 4pm. We were so busy that day that we were still selling products to different people even 1/2 an hour or longer after the expo had finished. The people couldn’t get enough.
The next two photos were taken by the ironman photographer on Friday (Check out the ironman website for more photos). I didn’t even know she was there taking photos. The man at our stand in the photo was so impressed with our products he practically bought 1 of every product we had there that day. He said he had never seen such products like this in Australia and had to import his own from overseas and didn’t realize someone in Australia was putting products like this out. He came back on Sunday and bought several 1kg superfood tubs and a few more 25Alive.
- Trust in God
A healthy life requires effort, and the following health principles are useless unless put into practice and made a part of your everyday life. Being simple, they are easy but if you don’t pay attention to the list you won’t make the changes and you won’t get well or stay well.
Step 1 – Air
The number 1 nutritional requirement for our body is fresh air. We need to start walking and breathe more. Not only breathe more deeply but breathe quality air. In the city this is hard because it is not the ideal environment for man. We must get out into God’s creation which is nature. If we can’t take control of our lives and move out of the cities, we at least need to get into the country on weekends, and down the park and nature reserves during the week. Remember, the air you breathe determines the composition of your cells, whether healthy or unhealthy. Use deep breathing techniques several times a day, until you even get a little dizzy.
Step 2 – Exercise
Exercise is an excellent way to open the body up to receive more oxygen and get things moving, such as your bowels. Shopping is not exercise. We need to sweat every day for 1 hr. Walking, running, cycling, resistance training (weights) or swimming. Find something you like to do, and you will do it every day.
Step 3 – Sunshine
Daily exposure to sunshine is very important, especially for healing. Expose your whole body to the sun for 1hr if you are seriously ill. People have been brainwashed into thinking that the sun will kill them, but just about every form of life on this planet needs sunshine to live, including humans.
Step 4 – Water
The number 2 nutritional requirement for our body is pure water. We need to drink 2-4 litres of room temperature water a day. A good way to do this is to drink a tall glass or two of water first thing in the morning (even adding a little lemon) to rehydrate your body after sleep. Never drink liquids with meals, but half-1 hr before and 1-2 hrs after. Most people feel thirsty at meals because they haven’t drunk enough in between. Herb teas can also be beneficial but no caffeine or soft drinks. Buy a good juicer and start juicing. Also use water outside your body by taking showers and/or bath every day. Use hot and cold alternating hydrotherapy to improve circulation and blood flow to any or all areas of the body.
Step 5 – Nutrition
Next, we need to get maximum nutrition in to feed our cells. We need to eat more live, organic, raw foods (around about 75%) like salads, fruit, nuts and seeds, and less nutritionally dead foods like cooked starches, sugary processed foods and animal products which are full of parasites, hormones, heavy metals, antibiotics, chemicals and pesticides. Eggs from healthy hens are ok, but if you’re seriously ill raw food and juices are imperative.
A vegetarian diet doesn’t necessarily mean healthy, and protein and good fats are very important. Good animal-free protein sources are beans, sprouts, legumes, nuts and seeds and should be consumed with every meal. Healthy fats are essential for all bodily processes; they can be found in linseeds, nuts, avocadoes and olive oil. It is important that you never cook with these oils, except for coconut oil. Only eat 2-3 meals a day, and leave 5 hrs between meals, which gives your stomach a rest. Consume nothing in between meals but liquids.
Most people today are overfed yet still nutritionally depleted, which can cause everything from poor blood, low energy, weak immune system, and virtually ANY disease. Your ability and speed of recovery from disease are greatly decreased when you are malnourished. Modern life can take it’s toll. With huge levels of stress, prescription drugs, electromagnetic radiation, heavy metal toxicity and a myriad of health degrading practices, even maintaining a super organic raw vegan diet isn’t enough to counteract this constant bombardment. Our Heavenly Father has blessed us with certain foods and herbs that are so nutritionally potent, concentrated and complete that they have come to be commonly known as Super Foods. Spirulina, chlorella, alfalfa, barley and wheat grasses (these come in a superior combination called EdenFood superfood formula) are just a few of some perfectly balanced super foods that will supply you with the widest range of natural food-source vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential trace nutrients.
Your body will rejoice and come back to life . Many people want to boost their immune system by using our Echinacea Ang + or Immunoplex (advanced glyconutrient formula). But you cannot build T-Cells (immune cells) from hamburgers, soft drinks and big city pollution. You need super nutrition to help feed your immune system and your whole body. This may be the missing link in your quest for total health.
Step 6 – Rest
In this day and age, rest is something most of us don’t get enough of. Rejuvenation, cell repair and healing mostly occur during our sleep. Unfortunately most people sleep at the wrong time or don’t get enough real rest. Because of city lights and shift work we can tend to stay up late, get 8 hrs sleep, yet still feel tired.
Our body works on a biological clock (circadian rhythm) and as the sun goes down, so our bodies begin to shut down. The cell repair process happens before the hours of midnight, during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. 1 REM cycle takes 1.5 hrs and 2 REM cycles is what is needed for total repair and rejuvenation to take place. This means we should be asleep by 9, in bed by 8:30pm. Also, between the hours of 10-12 pm, the liver begins to clean itself out and shut down (this is why it is important that our last meal be at least 3 hrs before 10 which is 7pm).
It is important also to have a current of fresh air flow through your bedroom day and night. Even in winter you can leave your window open a little. Your bedding should be exposed to the air daily and changed weekly. Most importantly rest one full day a week for 24 hrs.
Step 7 – Temperance
Temperance means moderation in all good things. Work is good, but don’t overwork. Exercise is important but most people underexercise. Just because something is good, like eating fruit, does not mean you should overdo it. This leads us to our next health principle, and the most important one. It will actually help us be temperant and keep all the other health principles.
Step 8 – Trust In God
Trust in God and tell Him your troubles, worry ends where faith begins. If you do this you will have the best night’s sleep possible, knowing you can’t fix your problems but you’ve left them to the Great problem Solver. He created us and therefore can repair us. Believing in God is not some dry religious exercise but a tangible relationship with your best friend. Ask Him to lead you into truth and health and to guide you to people who can help you with your health (physical, mental and spiritual) because God works through people.
